Hello,
I decided to start this blog becouse I am simply having too much fun with all my aquariums not to. Currently Im running the following setups.
29 gallon Planted Cichlid Tank
2 Rio Grande Cichlids
3 Fire mouth cichlids
2 Yellow lab cichlids
2 Electric blue cichlids
2 Nuesta cichlids?
I also have a healthy bevy of mix matched plants.
This tank had been my sole focus for several months, unfortuanitly the release of a dozen herbavories minnows nearly decimated the population of amazon sword plants. This tank is a very aggressive tank with constant replacment of large cichlids. I simply love this tank its gorgeous. By far my favorite.
20 gallon Tall Tropical community Tank
1 Avocado Puffer
6 Jumbo Neon Tetras
1 Cardinal Tetra
1 Male Sword Tail
2 Neon Dannios
3 Blood fin Tetras
and a healthy breeding population of feeder shrimp.
This tank is setup for my Girlfreind and her son. Its a friendly tank where things can go to grow and eat without being bullyed or mistaken for food. Its nice becouse this tank gives me the ability to house some of those pretty but friendly fish that wouldnt make it in my normal aquarium setups.
55 Gallon Native Texas Tank
2 Mexican Tetras
2 Central stone rollers
12 large Black tail shinners
12 small black tail shinners
1 MMinnow esque fish I havent identified yet
6 Red Tail Shiners
2 Mosquito Fish
1 pearch thats to small to identify yet.
Im hoping to be able to sustain a health enough minnow population that I can stop buying the things everytime I wana go fishing. If it works really well I could see myself building a larger breeding container and selling the litle guys. One interesting little fact about these local fish, they are aggressive. I have always had aggressive tanks and these guys are by far the most aggressive eaters of all the fish Iv ever taken care of. Nothing but fun to watch them eat.
